DJ: Paulino Mercenari
Paulino is the host of “Two-Step” and a 305 Rat who loves all things South Florida, whether urban exploring some old landmark or spending his free time kayaking through mangroves. Paulino listens to all genres, but especially loves music hailing from Mexico. Beyond the booth, he’s Promotions Director at WVUM 90.5, where he curates events and builds local partnerships.
DJ: Gabriel Izaguirre
Gabriel is a dade-made Miami local, doing anything for the plot. In addition to being EKL’s newest host, he serves as WVUM’s Training Director. While it might come as a surprise, he’s also a double business major, aiming for a future in the corporate world. For now, you can catch him at the station practicing on the CDJs or out and about soaking up live music. Gabriel believes the key to a happy life is being cringe, staying weird, and keeping it real!
DJ: Laura de Arcos
Laura is WVUM’s Music Director, a sophomore from Madrid studying Media Scoring and Production. She loves spending time at the studio, making music, singing… You will also probably spot her wearing cheetah print and listening to Rosalía. And she also hosts the Top 10 show every Tuesday from 4-5pm!

Taylor is an Architecture major from NY who followed the sun to Miami. She loves romcoms, photography, and putting her playlists on shuffle. Catch them talking about music in the office, on the WVUM blog, or on air during STARBURST! this fall.

Steph is a senior studying sports medicine who thinks we should bring back whimsy and is living out her childhood dream of forcing everyone sit down and listen to her favorite songs.
DJ: Vee Ngunda
Vee loves listening to every kind of music, but primarily favors soul, rap, indie. Vee's favorite artists are Tyler the Creator, Steve Lacy, Sade, Lauryn Hill, MF DOOM. Vee is also capable of playing electric guitar, ukulele, and clarinet.
DJ: Alexandra Carrillo
Alexandra, aka MICHI, is a Biology major from Venezuela. She's always in the office talking, with a redbull in hand and a giant to do list. She loves rock in all its categories, picking up new hobbies, obsessively curating her playlists and of course she loves WVUM the most.
DJ: Dominick Dennis
Dominick Dennis is an international student from Jamaica studying Psychology and Biology at the University of Miami, with dreams of becoming a clinical psychologist. Passionate about helping people, meaningful conversations, and music, Dominick channels all three into The Reggae Effect. A bassist and lifelong reggae lover, he brings his island roots and love for rhythm to WVUM, sharing the sound and spirit of reggae with every show.
DJ: Camila Sanchez-Perez
Camila is a senior from Miami studying Sociology and Global Health Studies. She loves watching and chatting about series that feel like intricately crafted works of literature (aka The Wire + The Sopranos), playing Dance Dance Revolution, and taking detailed personality quizzes. Tune in from 12-1 PM on Fridays that fall on the even weeks of the month for Sounds of Solidarity, where she plays music from various social movements hailing from all around the world.
