The Triumphs and Trials of the buses, bikes, and rails

If you’re anything like me, you' know that public transit in this city is the lifeblood of getting around. The metro specifically has become my best friend even more so this year than last year. Living only a mile from campus, I use the metro in the morning, in the evening, between my classes, you name it. And what would the commute be without some songs to accompany the rhythm chug of the metro’s engine?

Now, I’ve found that my public transit listening habits vary from day to day, depending on the weather, time of day, and even the place I’m going. Naturally, I made two playlist. The first and lengthier one more fit for sweaty, sunny days. The second, I made while on a more lugubrious, rainy day, after being harassed a few more times than normal. In my opinion, the range of sounds (from Freddie Gibbs to Portishead) shows how it feels to be trudging along in the wet Miami heat, rain or shine.

Enjoy! And may you get to your desired place on time!
