Sunday November 26th @6pm.

Tune in this Sunday to RadioActive to hear from the National Organizers of the #GradTaxWalkout that is being held on campuses and in communities across the country on November 29th at 1pm (EST). This National Day of Action will bring together graduate students and their allies to bring awareness to the tax reform bill heading to the senate. This tax bill proposes making Graduate School tuition waivers a taxable income – basically making graduate education in America accessible only to the independently wealthy among us. This plan will have a detrimental impact on the quality and access to graduate education and will in particular have a significant impact on minorities, communities of colour and low income students who are already in graduate programs or who plan to attend graduate school in the future.

This episode will bring together an awesome group of graduate students including two of the National organizers of the Day of Action, and a group of Community Psychology PhD students who will be sharing the impacts that this tax reform bill will have on their own lives, the accessibility of their programs and the role of Community Psychology in creating accessible and inclusive education.
